MASTER PLAN FOR TEMPLE COMPLEX

Though a comprehensive master plan is not yet finalized, the committee is hopeful of retaining the complex with all its elegance and all out efforts are being made to complete the proposed constructions with its aesthetic beauty at this Hill top to fulfill the thirst for salvation of the devotees. The major construction works to be undertaken are that of Sreekovil for the main deity-Lord Subrahmanian, Sreekovils for other upa devathas, Namaskara Mandapam, Nalambalam, Community Hall and compound wall with gopurams.

A temporary house for short stop over to the thanthri and santhikkars as well as an office counter has already been constructed in the site. A well(manikkinar) with 33 'koles' (1 kole = 72 cms.) depth was also dug and water drawn from this is now being used for nivedyams and poojas.

Sreekovil:The Sreekovil of the main deity, Lord Subrahmannian will be the biggest in Kerala with 71 koles ( 51.12 Metres) circumference in 'Gaja Prishta' (apsidal-horse shoe) form. The three storied sreekovil is being constructed in laterite, lime, copper etc. by applying the traditional methodology keeping all the vasthu heritages into account.
